History
Erbario Toscano is the story of a creative venture that dates back to the early 2000s in New York, when Egisto Bertozzi, heir to a prestigious flower arrangement business created by his father Guido in the early 1980s, observed a growing interest in the concept of wellness.
Tuscany is known as a land of genius, with a pinch of audacity, and this prompted its son Egisto to venture into the launch of a line of beauty products inspired by the region’s olive trees. He was driven by a desire to amaze the market with a slice of Tuscan lifestyle that could be exported worldwide. On his return to Italy, his superb artisan expertise, emblematic of timeless elegance, soon earned the Brand a successful international reputation.
A sensory education, aided and enhanced by the unique nature of the land, allowed Egisto Bertozzi to discover the spellbinding power of perfume, captured in the first Eau de Parfum scents and home fragrances, destined to make their mark in the world of artistic perfumery.
The company’s outstanding production processes are derived from a careful study of plants and their active ingredients, and a painstaking selection of the finest raw materials.
Origins
Erbario Toscano is deeply rooted in Tuscany, a little corner of paradise with which nature has been especially generous, gifting the land the finest fruits and the most striking of views. Art and beauty are in the air here at every turn, setting a naturally slow pace of life conducive to meditation, reflection and creativity.
These humanistic and Renaissance values, combined with fine materials and exquisite craftsmanship, are what shapes timeless creations, authentic olfactory masterpieces.
Values and mission
A deep investment in those humanistic values characteristic of the local culture, and thus part of the Brand’s DNA, fuelled Egisto Bertozzi’s mission: to export the uniquely elegant, sophisticated, tasteful approach to the good life of his inimitable homeland worldwide.
This is why his tireless pursuit of the perfect accords is continually accompanied by a search for new materials, shapes and colours he uses to personally conceive the design of both the boutiques and the Brand’s products.
Egisto Bertozzi’s sensory stamp is evident in each one of his creations. In his words, “a perfume leaves a lasting impression.”
“For me, creating a perfume is all about sharing an emotion: the scent of the woods after the rain. the taste of the salt left behind by the waves, on a rock that’s dried in the sun. the aroma of a spice blown in from afar by the breeze. the wonder of fields in bloom at sunrise.”
